Using News Article History

News article history lets you review earlier saved versions of an article.

The History button appears in the News & Press list view as one of the article row actions.

The History button appears with the other row actions in the News & Press list view.

Each time an article is saved, the system stores a history record for that version.

When to Use History

Use article history when you need to:

  • Review previous changes to an article.
  • Compare an earlier version with the current version.
  • Load an earlier version for review.
  • Restore an earlier version if needed.

Open Article History

To open article history:

  1. Open the News & Press tool from the Plugins accordion.
  2. Find the article in the Published or Unpublished tab.
  3. Click the article's History button.

The history view shows saved versions of the article. Each version includes information about when the change was saved and who saved it.

Opening a saved version loads that version into the article detail view for review.

After a previous version is loaded, review the article carefully before saving. Restoring an older version updates the current article and creates a new history record.

The controls you see depend on your CMS permissions. Users with restricted permissions may not be able to access all features.
