Managing Categories Inline

Some plugin screens allow categories to be managed inline while you are editing a content record.

Inline category management lets you search for existing categories or create a new category without leaving the record you are working on.

The video shows a new category being created inline, followed by an existing category being found and selected.

Finding an Existing Category

Type a category name or part of a category name in the inline category field.

If a matching category exists, select it from the results to add it to the record.

Creating a New Category Inline

If no matching category exists, use the Create New option to create the category from the term you entered.

After the new category is created, it is added to the record.

When to Use the Full Category Manager

Use the full Category Manager when you need to review usage counts, delete categories, manage preview images, choose category colors, or review all categories in one place.
