Configuring News Detail View, Sharing, and RSS Options

Detail View settings control what appears when a visitor opens a single News & Press article.

These settings are managed from the public page while the page is open in Edit mode.

Detail View settings affect only the article pages that are linked from main News and Press page you are editing.

News public detail view settings

Detail View settings control article metadata, bottom-of-article information, sharing, and RSS options.

Top of Article

Top of Article settings control metadata that appears near the beginning of the article.

Top of Article options can include:

  • Author Name
  • Read Time
  • Date
  • Time

Bottom of Article

Bottom of Article settings control information that appears after the article content.

Bottom of Article options can include:

  • Categories
  • Tags
  • Media Contact
  • Boilerplate

Use Media Contact when visitors should see contact information connected to the article.

Use Boilerplate when press releases should include standard organization information after the main article content.

Sharing

Sharing settings control whether visitors can share an article through supported channels.

Sharing options can include:

  • Facebook
  • X
  • LinkedIn
  • Email

When sharing is enabled, share links are generated from the article's public URL.

RSS Options

RSS settings control whether the News & Press page is included in an RSS feed and whether an RSS-related button appears on the public article page.

RSS is mainly useful for visitors or services that use RSS readers. Without an RSS reader, opening an RSS link can display raw XML.

Configure Detail View Settings

To configure Detail View settings:

  1. Open the public News & Press page in Edit mode.
  2. Open Detail View in the module settings.
  3. Turn top-of-article options on or off.
  4. Turn bottom-of-article options on or off.
  5. Configure sharing and RSS settings when needed.
  6. Click Submit.

A public News & Press detail page displays a single article using the selected Detail View settings.
