Writing News Article Content
News article content fields control the article's title, public URL, summary, and main body copy.

The article content fields define the public title, URL slug, teaser, and article body.
Article Identity
The Title field is required. It is the main article headline shown in the CMS and on public News & Press pages.
The Slug field is the unique URL-friendly value used in the article's public URL. Use a short, readable slug that reflects the article title. Slugs should be unique and should avoid unnecessary words.
The Canonical URL field is optional. Use it when the article content also appears somewhere else and you want to tell search engines which URL should be treated as the preferred version.
Canonical URL is different from Link to Source. Link to Source sends visitors away from your site to an external article. Canonical URL keeps the article on your site but gives search engines guidance about the preferred source when similar or duplicate content exists.
Teaser and Body Content
The Teaser field is required. It is a short summary that can appear on public list views, cards, search results, or archive views depending on the page configuration.
The Content field is the main article body. Use the editor to write and format the full article.
The AI enabled writing assistant, Scribe, is available in the editor where enabled. Scribe can help draft or refine article copy, but AI-generated suggestions should be reviewed by a person before publishing.
Writing Tips
When writing article content:
- Keep the title clear and specific.
- Use the teaser to summarize the article, not repeat the title.
- Use the content editor for the full article body.
- Use Canonical URL only when there is a real reason to identify a preferred source.
- Use Link to Source instead of full content when the item should point to an external article.
